Professional Education, Not an Internship
The program’s focus is educational: analyst-level training for careers in high finance. The material is real — actual transactions, live market data, and the documents deals are built on — taught and reviewed by practitioners who do this work professionally. It goes well beyond textbook case studies.
What is real is the material and the teaching, not an employment relationship. The Residency is not an internship, is not employment, and is not a placement. Participants do not perform work for Swiss Finance, for Britannica Capital, or for any partner firm or bank, and nothing they produce is delivered to a client.
Curriculum
Analyst-Level Training
Training is structured around the work an analyst is expected to do, worked on real transactions and current market conditions, with every piece of work reviewed by practitioners:
- Real transactions worked end to end: valuation, deal structuring, and the documents a deal is carried in
- Live market data and current conditions, rather than tidied historical teaching sets
- Research on macro themes, allocator behaviour, and institutional frameworks
- Market monitoring and the analysis of capital flows
- Written investment memos and presentations, reviewed by practitioners
- Professional standards and communication in high finance
